Thank you for taking time to visit our website.
I established Watertech in January 1980 after resigning as Director (Water) after 7 years service as Head of Water Division of Ghana’s state owned Architectural and Engineering Services Corporation (AESC). Prior to my service at AESC, I was Head of the Consultancy Unit of the Ghana Water and Sewerage Corporation (GWSC), which has since become Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL).
Until AESC was established in 1973 the planning and design of water supply and sewerage installations of any appreciable size in the country was entrusted to foreign consulting firms. With the formation of the Water Division of AESC in October 1973, headed by me, district water supply projects in Ghana were for the first time planned, designed and supervised by a local consultancy organisation.
Watertech was borne out of the realization that high caliber Ghanaian Water Engineers could not be developed at AESC because of public sector constraints. I decided to set up Watertech, a private consulting firm, with the aim of providing consultancy services in water related projects that are comparable to those provided by internationally recognized consulting firms.
This objective has largely been met as evidenced by the number of relatively large water and wastewater projects that have been handled by the firm either singularly or in joint venture with other international consulting firms.
Watertech has remained one of the key consultancy companies in Ghana and intends to remain among the top five companies.
We will be glad to share ideas, partner in Ghana and abroad in the development and implementation of projects.
Thank you again,
