Studies, design and tender documents and supervision of construction. Some 260km of roads had been programmed for rehabilitation in Accra.  The work involved studies and tests to determine the rehabilitation requirements of these roads and the design for the rehabilitation of roads and drains in the Central Business District as well as a number of priority roads. The work also included the revision of the 1963 Drainage Master Plan of the city to ensure that the water collected in roadside drains could be safely discharged through their ultimate outlets into the sea. This work which was started in September 1990, was done in association with Mott MacDonald International of the U.K. who were the lead consultant. Watertech’s contribution was mainly in the drainage section.  The road component was constructed from 1996 to 2000 with Watertech providing most of the supervision personnel.

Master planning, feasibility studies, detailed design, and preparation of tender documents. Study of the storm water drainage problems in Kumasi and production of a Master Plan for the orderly development of primary, secondary and tertiary drains and the design and supervision of works for prevention of the many flood and erosion problems in the city.

Planning, design and tender documentation for storm drainage schemes for 19 suburban townships in Accra. Study of the storm water drainage problems and design of drainage networks for Abelenkpe, East Legon, Adogon, East Adenta, West Adenta, Haatso, Madina, Dome, Taifa, New Achimota, Kisseiman, Agbogba, New Ashongman, Akweteman, Nii Boyeman, Awoshie, Gbawe and Sowutuom in Accra.
